Getty Center in Los Angeles Is Closing for Year of Renovations

The art museum will close to the public in March 2027 to replace its aging tram system and modernize some galleries.The Getty Center, which opened on the Westside of Los Angeles in 1997, contains paintings by van Gogh, Rembrandt, Rubens, Monet and Degas.
